People tend to have strong ideas about what their ministers should think or do.  But what are ministers really like? How do they manage their own faith journeys, their spiritual or not so spiritual sides, and the ebb and flow of peoples’ expectations?  What does a ministry-life look like from the inside? What if it is not within the four walls of a church, but is chaplaincy, teaching, counseling or community work? Here is an opportunity for ministers to share their souls and for people to experience ministers in their own words.

A New Podcast for Ministers

I'm excited to announce my new podcast "Coffee Time With a Minister."

I am a partially retired UU community minister with a private practice in Santa Fe, NM.  After finally publishing my memoir, The Fog of Faith: Surviving My Impotent God, I’ve decided to offer a podcast about real-life ministers and ministry experiences.  I’d love to hear from ministers who would be willing to be interviewed for about 45 minutes to an hour.

It will be fascinating for the public to hear how ministers perceive their work, their beliefs, and the way their lives are impacted by their journeys as ministers.  This interview experience is open to community and parish ministers, to ministers of any denomination, faith group or atheist group.

What to expect: To inquire, please fill out the form for ministers.  Dr.  Stucky’s office will contact you when timing is right for your interview, and will offer some advanced interview questions.  Please be patient as we already have quite a list.

This was not what God wanted nor was it God’s fault.  Some supposed Christians, the ministers concurred, would use anything to justify prejudice, violence and cruelty: cultural beliefs and science when they could, economic theories, political rhetoric, the worst and most distorted testimonies of history, and they also used their sick conceptions of who God was.

Coffee Time With a Minister Podcast

Coffee Time with a Minister engages ministers to tell their own stories - how their spiritual journeys impact their lives, what they do or don’t believe, and how they manage expectations and projections.
