 Out of the Shadow: 
Shining Light on Domestic Violence

We are pleased to share with you our new film based on the October 5, 2019 Day of Action Against Domestic Violence. The film includes footage from many of the events that brought together activists and artists to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. 

Healing Voices - Personal Stories supported various groups across the country in creating their individual events, held in Albuquerque, Española, and Santa Fe, NM; Fayetteville, AR; Dallas, TX; Hays, KS; Ithaca and New York, NY; and Salt Lake City, UT. 

October, designated as Domestic Violence Month, is just around the corner. We hope you will find ways to share this new film along with our others. Visit our website to see descriptions of the films.

To the many people who helped make last October 5th a very meaningful day, we send applause and gratitude. Many of them appear in the film. Thank you all, participants and supporters, so very much! We send special thanks to Co-Director and Editor Lynne Wimmer for the outstanding job she did editing the many photo's and videos sent to her. 

Most of all, we hope you will find opportunities to share the film and to make this October a Month of Action. We must bring Domestic Violence out of the shadow, especially in this challenging time.
